About the Artist

Robert Hager, a native of Brooklyn, New York, was educated in both the graphic arts and fine arts. He attended the New York School of Graphic Arts and the School of Visual Arts in New York City. At SVA, along with other instructors, Robert was trained under the guidance of the notable illustrator Burne Hogarth. Mr. Hogarth's repertoire of Illustrations and books has been a guiding light for many artists. Robert's experience in graphic arts helped to hone his proficiency in color balance and values, which is reflected in the unique style of his many paintings.

One of several resident Cape Cod artists, Robert Hager is one of the original members of The Truro Group, whose works are shown several times a year at the Truro Library, located in Truro, MA.

Robert is now a member of The Provincetown Art Association and Museum. Located on Commercial Street in Provincetown, MA.

Expanding his artistic venue, he is currently a member of the Ridgewood Art Institute in Ridgewood, New Jersey.
